NERIE Umiam B.Ed Admission 2021:- Online applications are invited from eligible candidates from 20.05.2021 up to 30.06.2021 for admission to 2 years regular B.Ed course at (North East Regional Institute of Education) NERIE, Umiam.
For admission into B.Ed. at NERIE, Shillong only the students from the states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura are eligible.
The Two-year Bachelor of Education program is generally known as B.Ed. is designed based on the recommendations of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). This is a professional course that prepares teachers for upper primary or middle level (classes VI-VIII), secondary level (classes IX-X), and senior secondary level (classes XI-XII) for applicants with post-graduation.
This program specifically provides quality teachers for secondary schools in Science, Mathematics, Language, and Social Science. The students admitted to the course every year opt for either Science and Maths or Social Science and Languages. This entitles them to become efficient teachers of Science/Mathematics and Social Science/Language.

- No of seats:- 50 (State-wise quota for the 50 seats based on the population of 2011 census).
- Eligibility Criteria:- Candidates with at least 50% marks in Bachelor’s Degree and/ or in the Master’s Degree in Science/ Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science or Mathematics or in Bachelor’s Degree and/ or in the Master’s Degree in Social Science/ Humanities/ Commerce are eligible for admission to the program (relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ ST/ PwD candidates).

Interested and eligible candidates from North East states can apply online through the official website www.cee.ncert.gov.in from 20.05.2021 up to 30.06.2021
Candidates have to apply online to RIE Bhopal, but the course will be offered at NERIE, Umiam.
NCERT Common Entrance Examination (CEE-2021) Date: 18th July 2021 (Sunday).
Candidates Appearing/ Appeared in the 2021 qualifying year, can fill Zeros in all the Obtained and Maximum Marks to continue the application process. You may upload the Qualifying Marks Examination Marks once the result is declared but well before the cutoff date 30.07.2021 when the application is opened to upload the marks.
